Al Khudhairy has led Compass as President and Chairman of the Board since 2022, a period in which the firm has grown quickly on the back of Saudi Arabia's construction pipeline. Saudi Arabia now accounts for more than 80% of Compass's client base, with the firm involved in projects tied to NEOM, King Salman Park, Diriyah, Al-Qiddiya, the Red Sea developments, and infrastructure work supporting increased visitor capacity in Mecca and Medina. Over the past year, the company has said its revenue and workforce have roughly tripled.
Under Al Khudhairy, Compass has also pushed into more specific sector niches beyond its core hospitality and mixed-use project work, including sports facilities and high-end restaurant fit-outs, an area where the company says it has delivered the majority of Riyadh's notable restaurant openings in recent years. That kind of niche specialisation sits alongside its broader program and project management work on much larger giga-project assignments.
Speaking about Compass's role in Saudi Arabia's development plans, Al Khudhairy has said the firm sees itself as helping to lead rather than simply keep pace with the country's Vision 2030 goals, pointing to major events like the planned Riyadh Expo as a marker of the scale of infrastructure now being built. With backing from Dar Al Arkan and plans to keep expanding its workforce, Al Khudhairy has described the current period as an especially active one for the firm, with Compass now operating from several offices across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Sri Lanka.
Al Khudhairy's dual background in design and project delivery has shaped how Compass positions itself: less as a pure cost or program consultancy and more as a firm with an eye on the design intent behind the projects it manages, a distinction that shows up in its work across hospitality, restaurant, and mixed-use developments in particular.
