He joined Egis as Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East and South Asia region before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of that same region, a promotion that also made him a member of the Group's global Executive Committee. In that COO role, he was responsible for operational performance across the region prior to taking on the broader remit of strategy, growth, and client relationships as CEO.
Justus's professional background includes managing large, multi-billion-dollar operations, and his more recent focus areas include commercial growth, digitalisation, and low-carbon operations, along with the use of AI and data-driven tools to support urban planning and infrastructure resilience.
His appointment as CEO came as part of a wider restructuring at Egis, which reorganised its global operations into five regions as part of a strategy aimed at growing the firm into one of the world's largest construction engineering companies over the coming years. Under that new structure, Justus's Middle East and South Asia region sits alongside separate divisions covering France, Europe and Africa, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.
Egis itself operates across sectors including transport, urban development, water, energy, and defence-related infrastructure, with a presence spanning more than 70 countries. Justus's role puts him in charge of how that range of services is delivered across two of the firm's more active growth markets, at a point when both regions are seeing substantial investment in transport networks, urban infrastructure, and low-carbon energy projects.
