Saudi Arabia has launched the $1.8 billion National Athletics Stadium at Qiddiya Sports Park, marking one of its most ambitious sports infrastructure projects to date. Spearheaded by Qiddiya Investment Company, the stadium will span 182,000 square meters and is inspired by the London Olympic Stadium, aiming to set a new global standard for mega-event venues.

UK-based HOK is leading the design, supported by WSP (Canada) and Schlaich Bergermann Partner (Germany), with WT Partnership from the UK serving as cost consultant. The stadium, part of the larger Qiddiya Sports Park, is set for completion by 2030 to coincide with the 22nd Asian Games hosted in Riyadh from November 29 to December 14, 2034.

Saudi Arabia is also preparing for the 2029 Asian Winter Games, to be held at Trojena in NEOM, showcasing its bold vision for world-class sports facilities across the Kingdom.
