DUBAI, UAE: Dubai completed 104 real estate projects with a total investment value exceeding $30.2 billion (AED 111 billion) during the first half of 2026, as project completions, residential supply and land values recorded significant year-on-year growth, according to data released by the Dubai Land Department (DLD).

The number of completed projects increased by more than 38.7%, compared with 75 projects during the first half of 2025. Their combined investment value rose 52%, from $19.9 billion (AED 73 billion) in H1 2025 to more than $30.2 billion (AED 111 billion) during the same period this year.

The figures point to continued capital deployment across Dubai's property sector, alongside an increase in completed residential supply and the amount of land allocated to new developments.

Residential Supply Rises 36%

Dubai Land Department data showed that the number of new real estate units increased by more than 36%, reaching 24,537 units during the first half of 2026, compared with 18,043 units during the corresponding period last year.

The total completed and ready-for-handover built-up area also increased by more than 23.4%, reaching 1.95 million square metres, up from 1.58 million square metres in H1 2025.

The figures indicate that Dubai's development market is translating a growing pipeline of projects into completed inventory as the emirate continues its wider urban expansion.

Land allocated to completed projects recorded an even sharper increase during the period. Its value rose by more than 135% to $5.3 billion (AED 19.46 billion), compared with $2.25 billion (AED 8.27 billion) in the first half of 2025.

The total area of land allocated to completed projects more than doubled to approximately one million square metres, from 484,000 square metres a year earlier.

Sheikh Hamdan Highlights Investor Confidence

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, said the sector's performance reflects the long-term economic vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The figures, he noted, demonstrate Dubai's continued progress towards the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double the size of the emirate's economy by 2033 and consolidate its position among the world's top three cities.

Sheikh Hamdan said: “The significant increase in the volume of real estate transactions, the number of projects and the value of investment inflows into these projects represents a renewed vote of confidence from the global business community and investors in the strength of Dubai’s economic environment. Guided by its leadership’s vision, the emirate has successfully established a comprehensive economic model founded on a flexible legislative framework, world-class infrastructure, high levels of transparency and a strong strategic partnership with the private sector.

This further strengthens Dubai’s ability to attract global capital and provide a secure investment environment that delivers strong growth and returns.”

He added: “Dubai continues to create new opportunities for growth and sustainable expansion through continued comprehensive urban development that keeps pace with population and economic growth and future requirements, in line with the highest standards of quality of life.”

Investment Continues Across Dubai's Development Market

The growth in completed projects comes alongside continued investment and the launch and development of new real estate projects during the first half of the year.

According to the Dubai Land Department, the figures reflect significant liquidity and capital inflows into the property market, with developers and investors continuing to introduce projects across the emirate.

The combination of 104 completed projects, 24,537 new units and more than $30.2 billion in project investment value also reinforces the property sector's role within Dubai's broader economic diversification and urban development strategy.

Dubai's real estate market continues to be supported by its infrastructure, regulatory framework, digital capabilities and services, while ongoing development is intended to accommodate the emirate's future population and economic growth.
