As CEO of Environment at BEEAH, Fahad Shehail has been central to reshaping how environmental services are delivered at scale in the region. He currently leads a broad and evolving portfolio that includes waste management, recycling, environmental consulting, green mobility, and sustainability education, placing BEEAH at the forefront of circular economy development.

BEEAH has grown into a sustainability and innovation powerhouse, combining operational scale with digital transformation. Its integrated circularity model has achieved a 93% waste diversion rate in Sharjah – the highest in the region and one of the highest of any city in the world – bringing together resource management, advanced technologies, and sustainability-led services to support governments, industries, and communities in achieving long-term environmental goals.

Fahad’s leadership journey at BEEAH reflects this evolution. He joined the organization in 2013 as Managing Director of Waste Collection and City Cleaning, overseeing large-scale municipal operations while driving sales and business development. This hands-on role placed him at the center of operational delivery across city-wide contracts and asset-intensive environments. He later stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer, where he led expansion into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, helping establish BEEAH as a regional benchmark for integrated, end-to-end waste management and zero-waste strategies.

With more than 23 years of experience across logistics, telecom, technology, and environmental services, Fahad combines commercial strategy with deep operational insight. In his current role, he is driving BEEAH’s shift from a core waste management provider to a holistic environmental partner, expanding its scope to include facilities management and integrated asset solutions that combine hard and soft services, digital monitoring, and environmental performance into a single model. This enables BEEAH to manage the full lifecycle of assets and infrastructure, delivering measurable efficiency, sustainability outcomes, and operational visibility across the built environment.

Fahad’s leadership is defined by execution at scale. In recent years, he has overseen initiatives that demonstrate how environmental services can be embedded within broader urban and asset management systems. These include strategic partnerships with municipalities across the emirate of Sharjah, applying BEEAH’s long-term collaboration with Sharjah City Municipality to city-scale executions in Al Hamriyah, Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Al Batayeh, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Madam, and Kalba. Alongside the deployment of tried-and-tested waste systems and education programs, Fahad has also spearheaded partnerships with local factories to enable industrial decarbonization through the supply of alternative green fuels derived from waste. At the regional level, he has led agreements to expand waste management infrastructure and service delivery in KSA and Egypt’s New Capital, reinforcing BEEAH’s role in supporting cleaner, healthier cities of the future.

A strong advocate for technology-led transformation, Fahad has driven the integration of advanced systems across operations. AI-powered sorting in recycling facilities, real-time monitoring through AI City Vision, and data-driven tracking platforms such as Recycling BI have enhanced resource recovery and operational visibility. At the workforce level, smart wearables, RFID-enabled systems, and route optimisation platforms are improving service efficiency, frontline safety, and responsiveness across asset portfolios and city-wide operations.

Sustainability under Fahad’s leadership is embedded into both strategy and execution. As chair of BEEAH’s internal Net-Zero Task Force, he leads a cross-functional program focused on carbon strategy, energy transition, circularity, and transparent reporting, supporting the organization’s path toward net zero by 2040 in the UAE. His approach centers on integrating environmental performance with asset efficiency, ensuring sustainability outcomes are embedded into service delivery rather than treated as standalone initiatives. He also places strong emphasis on education and community engagement, advancing programs that promote environmental awareness and long-term behavioural change beyond BEEAH’s operations.

Throughout his career, Fahad has maintained a consistent focus on long-term value creation – balancing growth, operational efficiency, and measurable environmental impact. By combining disciplined execution with innovation and strategic partnerships, he continues to play a defining role in BEEAH’s evolution and in shaping more sustainable, resilient cities across the region.
