Samer Abdul Samad – Chief Executive Officer of Nesma & PartnersAbdul Samad holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Civil Engineering from New York University. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects while overseeing multidisciplinary teams across a broad range of sectors. His experience spans engineering, operations and business management, providing a foundation for guiding projects from planning through to completion while maintaining a focus on quality, safety and execution.
Appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2021, he has overseen the continued development of Nesma & Partners across infrastructure, industrial, energy and building construction. The business has expanded its engineering capabilities, strengthened integrated project delivery and increased its use of digital technologies to support larger and more technically demanding developments. These areas have become increasingly important as Saudi Arabia advances major national projects and infrastructure programmes under Vision 2030.
Alongside business growth, Abdul Samad has placed considerable attention on strengthening the organisation itself. Investment in engineering expertise, governance, construction technologies and workforce development has remained a consistent priority, reflecting the company's emphasis on long-term capability rather than short-term expansion. Building local talent and encouraging collaboration across technical disciplines continue to support the company's delivery model.
Nearly thirty years after joining Nesma & Partners, Abdul Samad remains closely connected to the operational side of the business while directing its long-term strategy. His career reflects the evolution of both the company and Saudi Arabia's construction sector, with engineering knowledge, operational experience and measured decision-making continuing to shape the organisation's role in many of the Kingdom's large-scale developments.
