(Image: WAM)New York, USA – September 30, 2025: Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, joined the UAE delegation led by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. The annual meeting brought together world leaders to discuss urgent global issues and foster collaboration toward building a more sustainable future.
As part of his participation, Al Zeyoudi held a series of bilateral meetings with government officials, focusing on ways to strengthen trade and investment partnerships across key economic sectors.
“The UAE’s presence at the UN General Assembly meeting emphasises our national commitment to playing a pivotal role in fostering global economic growth and prosperity,” said Al Zeyoudi. “By forging strong partnerships and leveraging our collective strengths, we can drive growth and prosperity not just for our nation, but for the world. Our discussions here in New York centered around increasing trade and investment flows around the world, deepening our economic partnerships with like-minded nations in order to achieve our shared goals in economic development and sustainability.”
Alongside his engagements at the UAE-US Business Council and the US Chamber of Commerce, Al Zeyoudi met with senior executives from leading global institutions spanning financial services, private equity, advanced technology, and real estate.
Among the organisations represented were Mashreq Bank, UBS, and KKR, as well as influential voices from the Goldman Sachs Global Institute, Blackrock Infrastructure Investments, and the Eurasia Group. These discussions highlighted the importance of high-level collaboration in strengthening economic ties, driving sustainable development, and supporting innovation.
Al Zeyoudi’s meetings underscored the UAE’s view that public-private partnerships are critical to advancing economic growth and prosperity. By engaging directly with both government officials and private sector leaders, the UAE continues to reinforce its role as a proactive and collaborative player on the global stage.
