Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Attends Khalid bin Sultan City Launch

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, attended the official launch of Khalid bin Sultan City, a flagship urban development project overseen by BEEAH Group, at the company’s headquarters.

Project Highlights and Vision

The kickoff featured a screening of “We’re shaping the next era,” tracing BEEAH’s journey from a modest waste management firm to a diversified global enterprise operating across sustainability, energy, technology, healthcare, and real estate.

Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH Group, described the development as a pivotal milestone: "Khalid bin Sultan City represents a pivotal milestone for BEEAH in the field of real estate development. It is a pioneering project that embodies our vision to reshape urban life. He emphasized that BEEAH’s extensive infrastructure experience, from recycling facilities and clean energy systems to smart city technology, has enabled this expansion, in line with directives from Sharjah's leadership to focus on sustainability and thoughtful urban planning.

Architectural and Community Integration

Acclaimed for its focus on smart city design, the project draws inspiration from the late Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, a visionary in Sharjah’s urban identity. A dedicated film illustrated how the masterplan integrates sustainability with human-centric design.

Nada Taryam, CEO of Real Estate Development at BEEAH, outlined the project’s ambition:

Master-planned by Zaha Hadid Architects, the city is designed to feature smart infrastructure and architectural excellence that intertwines identity, innovation, and experiential public realms.

Scale, Sustainability and Smart Infrastructure

Covering a 1.5-kilometer precinct, the city will include:

• 1,500 freehold residential units (villas, townhouses, and apartments)
• Commercial zones and cultural venues
• BEEAH headquarters, already LEED Platinum certified
• Net-zero smart infrastructure powered by renewable energy and water recycling systems

The city’s four foundational pillars, sustainability, technology, culture, and human connection—will manifest through AI-driven digital services, renewable energy networks, sustainable transportation, and a zero-waste mandate inspired by H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of BEEAH.

Neighbourhood Design and Lifestyle Amenities

BEEAH’s masterplan divides the city into seven residential neighborhoods, each featuring:

• Central plaza – five-minute walk radius
• Children’s centres, clinics, sports facilities, outdoor cafés
• A two-kilometre green oasis with jogging and cycling tracks, parks, and shaded social spaces

These elements are crafted to foster a walkable, community-centric urban environment that emphasizes wellness and connection.
