Sharjah, UAE – August 2025 - Leading UAE developer Arada has awarded a $168.25 million (AED 618 million) contract for the construction of the Anantara Sharjah Resort and Anantara Sharjah Residences, a high-profile seafront development located on Al Heera Beach in Sharjah.
The contract has been granted to Intermass Engineering & Contracting, which will carry out the works over a 24-month construction timeline, according to a statement from Arada.
Enabling and foundation works have already been completed, with active construction underway on the site. The development marks a major milestone for Sharjah’s growing luxury real estate and tourism sectors, bringing the globally recognised Anantara hospitality brand to the emirate.
The project comprises two distinct components:
Both the resort and residences will be operated by Minor Hotels, the international hospitality group behind the Anantara brand. Known for delivering world-class service in stunning global locations, Anantara’s presence is expected to elevate Sharjah’s appeal as a destination for both residents and tourists.
This contract award underscores Arada’s continued growth across the UAE and abroad. To date, the developer has launched nine master-planned communities in the UAE, rapidly expanding its footprint in the region’s competitive real estate market.
In 2024, Arada also made its international debut, establishing an office in Sydney, Australia, as part of its long-term global growth strategy.
With the Anantara Sharjah project, Arada is bringing world-class beachfront living and hospitality to one of the UAE’s most culturally rich emirates, reinforcing Sharjah’s evolving luxury real estate landscape and supporting the emirate’s broader tourism and economic goals.
