Dubai Holding has awarded the largest construction contract in its history, a $1.36 billion (AED5 billion) deal covering two major developments in central Dubai.
In this Property News International recap, we look at the contract awarded to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) to deliver Dubai Holding’s new headquarters and Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the new Dubai Holding headquarters will feature a distinctive circular form, central open-air atrium, landscaped courtyard and expansive terraces, with opening planned for 2029.
The same contract also covers 754 branded residences across two towers at Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers, designed by SCDA Architects, with handover scheduled for 2030.
CSCEC ME has operated in the UAE since 2003 and has delivered more than 110 large-scale projects across the Gulf.
