Dubai, UAE – August 6, 2025 - His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met today with a group of local dignitaries, investors, ministers, and leaders from the public, semi-government, and private sectors at Al Mudaif Majlis in Union House, Dubai.
The meeting underlined Sheikh Mohammed’s continued commitment to community engagement, open dialogue, and fostering a collaborative spirit across society to support national development, private sector growth, and strong public-private partnerships.
During the gathering, His Highness shared insights on the UAE’s sustained development and future ambitions:
“The UAE’s continued progress is built on a distinctive development model based on openness, competitiveness, and support for entrepreneurship,” he said.
“The country’s success stems from ambitious goals, a people-centred approach, and strong public-private partnerships. The achievements of recent decades reflect a clear vision driven by planning, determination, and collaboration.”
Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the UAE’s position as a global hub:
“The UAE remains committed to being a land of opportunity, a hub for prosperity, and a welcoming home for all who contribute to its growth.”
He further emphasised that trust, collaboration, and a forward-looking vision are key drivers of the country’s economic success, which is reflected in its social cohesion, economic resilience, and global stature.
His Highness also highlighted Dubai’s role in shaping the UAE’s future, noting that the emirate continues to grow as a global economic centre.
“Dubai’s progress is underpinned by a forward-looking strategy, strong collaboration between the public and private sectors, and world-class infrastructure and legislation,” he said.
He pointed to Dubai’s growing appeal due to investor confidence, market maturity, and its ability to attract top talent and global opportunities, all of which align with the ambitions of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
As part of the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed attended a lecture titled “The UAE as a Destination for the World’s Wealthy,” delivered by Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Kazim highlighted the UAE’s emergence as a magnet for global high-net-worth individuals:
“Over 131,000 wealthy individuals settled in the UAE by 2024, up from 116,000 in 2023, with a further rise expected this year.”
He attributed this rise to the nation’s safety, infrastructure, quality of life, and open economy. He also shared that Dubai welcomed 9.88 million visitors in the first half of 2025, underlining the city’s reputation as a top destination to live, work, and visit.
“Driven by visionary leadership, Dubai has become a key destination for investors and entrepreneurs,” he noted, adding that tourism strategy is aligned with and supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
His Highness also attended a live demonstration of the Unitree G1 robot by Dubai Future Labs. The lightweight, agile robot mimics human movement and is equipped with advanced AI-driven motion control, representing the cutting edge of robotics.
The robot will be featured at the Museum of the Future as part of its interactive displays, where it will welcome visitors and showcase Dubai’s ongoing commitment to innovation and human-centric technology.
