Madinet Masr, one of Egypt’s leading real estate developers, has officially launched the world’s first business park themed around the popular entrepreneurial show Shark Tank. Located in Cairo’s Taj City, the project is being developed in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment and Innovative Media Productions (IMP). It aims to inspire and empower a new generation of entrepreneurs through its design and programming.
Spanning more than 20 acres, the Shark Tank Business Park is designed as a fully integrated business ecosystem. The development will feature 16 buildings, including modern office spaces, co-working hubs, cultural venues, and a dedicated School of Entrepreneurship.
Additional features include garden brainstorming zones, gaming pods, and flexible interior designs that encourage collaboration, creativity, and productivity. This blend of innovation and design caters to the evolving needs of professionals seeking more than just a workspace.
The entire development is backed by an investment exceeding USD 1 billion. The first phase of the park is expected to be delivered by 2029. According to Eng. Abdallah Sallam, President and CEO of Madinet Masr:
“Shark Tank Business Park is the first of its kind globally. Inspired by the success of Shark Tank, this project reflects our vision to create business environments that go beyond functionality. We are building a space that nurtures creativity, supports productivity, and enhances well-being within a forward-thinking community.”
The launch event attracted more than 900 attendees, including government officials, investors, and business leaders. A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of the world’s first Shark Tank-themed commercial art sculpture. Created by design studio NotToys, the sculpture represents the spirit of innovation that the park aims to embody.
Robert Herjavec, a prominent investor from Shark Tank U.S. and CEO of Cyderes, expressed his support for the initiative:
“You can't keep a great idea down. This will be replicated worldwide.”
The Shark Tank Business Park positions Cairo as a regional destination for entrepreneurship and innovation. By combining immersive design, business infrastructure, and creative inspiration in one location, Madinet Masr is setting a new standard for how business parks function and evolve.
The project supports Egypt’s growing ambition to lead in real estate innovation, technology adoption, and sustainable development, making it a key milestone for the country’s future-facing urban landscape.
