Social media star and professional boxer Jake Paul has made headlines with the purchase of one of Georgia’s most iconic sporting estates, acquiring a sprawling ranch in Decatur County for $39 million.
The acquisition follows Paul’s recent high-profile boxing victory, which reportedly earned him a substantial payout. He revealed that he used much of those earnings to finance the ranch purchase, fulfilling a personal dream of owning a large property for hunting, recreation, and motorsport activities. “I’ve wanted to buy a ranch for the last 15 years,” Paul shared during a recent interview, outlining plans for a private racetrack, water sports, and leisure facilities.
The ranch spans approximately 5,653 acres of diverse terrain, including woodlands, lakes, wetlands, and open fields. It is located roughly eight miles from the town of Bainbridge in Southwest Georgia. The estate has not changed hands in nearly 90 years, making this one of the largest recreational land deals in the state’s recent history.
The property features:
Despite its vast size, less than 3% of the estate is classified as wetlands, offering abundant usable space for outdoor activities, farming, and development.
At the heart of the property is a newly renovated main lodge measuring nearly 4,900 square feet, with eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a powder room. The estate also includes a guest house, a pavilion, and two manager’s residences—one original and one newly built.
Supporting facilities feature a four-stall barn designed for equestrian and hunting use, a game processing cooler, and a variety of workshops and utility structures, making the ranch fully equipped for both recreation and practical use.
Originally part of a 26,000-acre tract, the ranch was once owned by a pioneering conservationist known for his work in prescribed burning and land management. Over the years, it served various purposes, from private retreat to teaching forest, preserving its ecological and historical significance.
The previous owners invested in restoring the natural features and maintaining the land’s biodiversity, ensuring the estate is not only luxurious but also environmentally sustainable.
For Jake Paul, this purchase goes beyond a luxury acquisition. It is deeply personal. Inspired by childhood experiences in nature with his father, he sees the ranch as both a sanctuary and a platform for future projects, including potential hospitality or media ventures.
The deal represents a fusion of celebrity ambition and land stewardship, ushering in a new chapter for one of Georgia’s most storied recreational estates.
