HUMAIN, DataVolt Partner on 100MW AI Data Center at NEOM

HUMAIN and DataVolt will develop 100MW of a 360MW AI-ready data center at Oxagon, with the first capacity due in 2028.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: HUMAIN and DataVolt have expanded their partnership to jointly develop 100MW of a 360MW AI-ready data center at Oxagon, NEOM’s industrial city on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.

The project forms part of the 360MW first phase of DataVolt’s planned AI data center campus at Oxagon, with construction now underway. The first 100MW of capacity is expected to become available in 2028.

HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company focused on full-stack artificial intelligence capabilities, and Saudi-based DataVolt announced the expanded partnership at LEAP.

The facility is being designed to support high-density artificial intelligence and cloud computing workloads, integrating renewable energy sources, advanced cooling technologies and high-performance computing clusters.

First 100MW Expected in 2028

The development combines HUMAIN’s capabilities across the AI technology stack with DataVolt’s experience in developing, financing, delivering and operating large-scale digital infrastructure.

Designed for next-generation accelerated computing, the facility will provide the infrastructure needed to deploy AI compute at significant scale.

The 100MW development represents part of DataVolt’s wider planned AI infrastructure footprint at Oxagon.

DataVolt Advances 1.5GW Oxagon Campus

The start of construction marks the beginning of the 360MW first phase of DataVolt’s planned 1.5GW campus at Oxagon.

The development builds on DataVolt’s wider infrastructure pipeline across Saudi Arabia and Central Asia, as well as its experience delivering capital-intensive digital infrastructure projects.

Oxagon Infrastructure to Support AI Compute

The companies expect the project to benefit from Oxagon’s industrial infrastructure, including pre-zoned industrial land, large-scale energy resources and subsea cable connectivity linking the region with Europe and Africa.

These capabilities are intended to support the power requirements, connectivity and operating efficiency associated with large-scale AI infrastructure.

AI Infrastructure Demand Accelerates

The project comes as global demand for AI computing infrastructure increases requirements for power, high-density data center capacity and facilities capable of supporting increasingly powerful computing systems.

The HUMAIN-DataVolt partnership is intended to combine AI capabilities with large-scale infrastructure delivery, creating a pathway from data center capacity to deployable AI compute.

The companies said the 100MW development marks the next stage of their partnership and a significant step in the development of large-scale AI infrastructure at Oxagon.
