Arcapita’s headquarters in Bahrain; the investment firm plans to put a further $1.5 billion into GCC industrial and logistics property over the next 24 months.Manama, Bahrain - Arcapita Group Holdings will put a further $1.5 billion into industrial and logistics property in the GCC within two years, adding to the more than $2 billion of assets it already manages in the sector.
Senior Arcapita officials set out the plan in Manama during Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2026, an event hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB). They said the commitment reflects the company’s confidence in the region’s long-term economic growth and in its appeal as a place to invest.
The fourth edition of the forum ran at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay on 1 and 2 November, and four projects worth $3.89 billion received Golden Licences there.
Arcapita, which describes itself as a leading global alternative investment firm, said the money will go mainly into developing and buying high-quality industrial and logistics assets in key GCC markets. Build-to-suit projects, designed around what leading regional and international occupiers need to run their operations, will take particular priority.
Backing the strategy is Lintara Properties, the Arcapita platform set up specifically to develop and run its warehouse and industrial property.
Hisham Al Raee, CEO of Arcapita, said: “We remain confident in the long-term growth prospects of the GCC and see significant opportunities emerging as economies across the region continue to diversify and invest in new industries, infrastructure and supply chains.”
“Our planned investment of an additional $1.5 billion over the next 24 months reflects that conviction and will build on the strong momentum we have established across our regional real estate business,” he added.
The announcement follows a busy year for the Bahrain-headquartered firm’s real estate arm in the Middle East and North Africa. In Saudi Arabia, work began in 2026 on ASMO’s 1.4 million sq m logistics hub, located in King Salman Energy Park (Spark).
In Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Arcapita finished a 30,000 sq m purpose-built logistics facility for DSV this year. It also broke ground in Jafza on another Grade A logistics centre, of 20,000 sq m, for DP World.
Isa Al Khalifa, who is Managing Director, Head of Mena Real Estate at Arcapita as well as CEO of Lintara Properties, said: “The industrial and logistics sector has demonstrated remarkable resilience over recent years, evolving to serve new industries and emerging demands, and establishing itself as a key pillar of economic growth across the GCC.”
“The growing emphasis on supply chain resilience, regional self-sufficiency and operational redundancy is further accelerating demand for modern industrial and logistics infrastructure, as businesses look to strengthen their supply chains and ensure continuity of operations. At the same time, the supply of modern, institutional-quality facilities remains limited in several GCC markets, creating significant opportunities to address this gap through high-quality, purpose-built developments that meet the evolving operational requirements of leading regional and international businesses,” he added.
According to Arcapita, Lintara was launched in October last year and now oversees more than $2 billion of assets, with 6.6 million sq ft under management across 32 properties in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
The platform pairs Arcapita’s skills in investment, structuring and asset management with specialist development teams, and offers leading regional and international occupiers real estate services from start to finish, the company said.
Bahrain’s forum also saw Edamah agree a framework with Saudi developer Retal for more than 700 units at Bilaj Al Jazayer.
Lintara will have a central role in sourcing, developing and managing the new assets under the $1.5 billion programme, Arcapita said.

Digital City Bahrain, DHL and Capital A also received licences at Gateway Gulf 2026.

The five-year sukuk priced at 8.875% and drew more than $700 million in orders.

The new resort brings more than 2,400 sq m of function space, including two ballrooms.

Construction has started on the developer's third project in the area, launched in May 2026.
