Leading real estate developer Aldar has announced a major milestone with more than $950 million (AED 3.5 billion) in sales during the launch week of its signature development on Fahid Island, Abu Dhabi’s first masterplanned coastal wellness destination.

The record-breaking sales came from two debut residential offerings: Fahid Beach Residences and The Beach House. The overwhelming response is a strong validation of Aldar’s vision for wellness-centered living and establishes Fahid Island as a future icon of global coastal real estate.

“The highly anticipated launch of Fahid Island has resulted in the first homes released generating more than $950 million (AED 3.5 billion)—and serves as a powerful validation of our vision to place wellness at the heart of community living,” said Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer at Aldar Development. “The success reflects Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the world’s most desirable investment and lifestyle destinations and we are expecting continued interest in Fahid Island as Abu Dhabi’s first wellness island builds its profile on the global stage.”

Global Buyer Interest and a Young Demographic

The sales were driven by strong international demand, with 67% of purchases made by expatriate residents and overseas investors. Buyers from the UAE, Russia, the UK, and China were the top contributors by volume, reinforcing Fahid Island’s appeal as a world-class lifestyle destination where wellness, nature, community, and design meet.

Importantly, 42% of buyers are under the age of 45, reflecting growing appetite among younger generations for wellness-driven luxury living. In a further sign of the development’s broad reach, 67% of buyers are first-time Aldar customers, expanding the developer’s global footprint.

Rapid Launch of The Beach House

Due to exceptional demand, Aldar fast-tracked the launch of The Beach House—the second residential phase on Fahid Island—within the same week. The community features 11 architecturally refined towers, each offering a range of studio to three-bedroom + maid apartments.
