Throughout his career, Ignacio has received several regional recognitions, including Young Architect of the Year at the Middle East Architect Awards in 2010, Architect of the Year at the Design Middle East Awards in 2019, and Architect of the Year at the Architecture Leaders Awards in 2022. His projects have also earned recognition across hospitality, residential, cultural and master planning categories.

Beyond his professional practice, Ignacio actively contributes to the wider architectural community as a speaker, critic and mentor. He is frequently invited as a guest critic at universities and has spoken at leading architecture and design platforms across the MENA region, sharing insights on architecture, urban development and design.

As Global Design Principal at Aedas, he continues to shape design thinking with a focus on contextual architecture, cultural identity, urban transformation and the development of the next generation of architects.
