SHARJAH, UAE - 10 July 2025 - The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) has officially launched its fully upgraded digital platform, marking a significant milestone in the emirate’s ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline real estate services. This enhanced digital transformation initiative aims to provide smarter, faster, and more transparent services for investors, residents, developers, financial institutions, and government bodies.

With the real estate sector playing a pivotal role in Sharjah’s economic growth, the new platform is positioned as a vital tool to ensure the emirate remains competitive, efficient, and attractive to both local and international stakeholders.

A Seamless Digital Experience for Every Stakeholder

The newly enhanced website delivers an intuitive user interface that offers smooth and efficient navigation across its services. Designed with user-centric architecture, the platform allows each stakeholder group, whether a private investor, property developer, homeowner, or financial partner to find, access, and complete necessary real estate procedures without the need for in-person visits.

Developers, in particular, can now manage every aspect of project registration, track progress reports, request certificates for off-plan sales, and submit documentation related to homeowners’ associations in one unified environment.

The platform’s backend has been redesigned to handle a significantly higher volume of data and transactions, ensuring that users experience minimal delays even during peak usage periods.

Empowering Homeowners’ Associations and Individual Owners

The portal also offers extensive services tailored to homeowners' associations, including board member registration, approval of annual budgets and maintenance fee declarations, and the ability to file complaints directly online. These features are crucial for maintaining transparency and operational efficiency in community management across Sharjah's expanding residential developments.

For individual property owners, the platform provides services such as ownership document issuance, title deed replacements, inheritance transfers, mortgage clearance, and real-time property valuation requests, all from the comfort of their homes or offices.

Streamlining Mortgage and Financial Services

Recognizing the central role of financial institutions in real estate transactions, the new system grants banks and lenders direct digital access to services such as mortgage registration, release, amendment, and refinancing applications. This not only reduces paperwork but also accelerates loan processing times, benefitting both lenders and borrowers.

Sharjah’s move toward integrating real estate and banking procedures digitally is a progressive step in aligning the emirate with international best practices in real estate financing and regulation.

Enabling Smarter Governance Through Data

Government agencies and regulators will also benefit from the platform’s data retrieval functions, which offer instant access to updated ownership records and transaction history reports. This capability supports data-driven decision-making across urban planning, infrastructure development, and public services.

With accurate, real-time data now readily accessible, Sharjah aims to enhance the coordination between public entities involved in housing, land use, and community services.

A Vision of Innovation and Accessibility

Abdulaziz Ahmed Al‑Shamsi, Director‑General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, praised the platform as a cornerstone of the emirate’s commitment to innovation:

“The upgraded website represents a new milestone in our journey toward full digital transformation. It reflects our commitment to providing smart and flexible real estate services that meet the aspirations of various categories of clients, including individuals, real estate developers, companies, homeowners' associations, banks, and others, which reinforces Sharjah’s position as a leading real estate hub in the region.”

This vision aligns with Sharjah’s broader economic diversification strategy, where innovation, smart city infrastructure, and digital governance play central roles in sustainable development.

A More Transparent, Investor-Friendly Market

The upgraded website is just one part of a larger digital transformation initiative by Sharjah authorities. Future phases are expected to introduce AI-powered chat support, blockchain-based document verification, and integration with national digital identity platforms.

With this enhanced portal, Sharjah positions itself as a future-ready destination in the regional real estate market, one where trust, efficiency, and investor confidence are actively reinforced through cutting-edge technology and service delivery.
