In a strategic move to further diversify Sharjah’s hospitality landscape, UAE-based real estate developer Arada has unveiled Nest, a pioneering midscale hotel brand designed to appeal to modern, budget-conscious travelers who seek quality, community, and sustainability.
The brand launch was announced during the opening day of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, where Arada showcased Nest as a key component of its growing lifestyle and hospitality portfolio. The move aligns with Sharjah’s broader tourism ambitions and reinforces the emirate’s emergence as a serious contender in the UAE’s competitive hotel and tourism sector.
Nest’s first hotel is set to open in early 2027 within the Arada Central Business District (CBD) in Aljada, the developer’s flagship mega-community in Sharjah. Located near educational institutions, creative hubs, and retail precincts, the hotel will be positioned to serve both leisure and business travelers.
Speaking on the launch, Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, emphasized the strategic intent behind the brand:
“The launch of Nest supports our mission to contribute to Sharjah’s transformation into a vibrant and globally competitive destination. We believe the midscale market is underserved in the region, and Nest will fill that space with a fresh, authentic, and community-driven approach.”
The hotel concept is centered on accessibility, digital convenience, and social connectivity. Rooms will be compact yet stylish, catering to the growing number of solo travelers, young professionals, and digital nomads looking for affordable comfort. Each Nest hotel will also include co-working zones, wellness facilities, and flexible common areas that encourage guest interaction.
Arada noted that the brand’s architecture and interiors will reflect its core values—sustainability, cultural relevance, and modernity. The use of locally inspired design elements and sustainable materials will support Sharjah’s green agenda and appeal to eco-conscious guests.
Nest will serve as a cornerstone in Arada’s ambition to build a diverse hospitality platform that complements its real estate developments. Future expansions of the brand are already being explored, with potential locations across Sharjah and other emirates under consideration.
The introduction of a locally developed hotel brand is particularly significant for Sharjah, a market traditionally dominated by international chains. By launching a homegrown concept tailored to regional preferences, Arada aims to elevate the emirate’s tourism offering and attract new visitor segments.
As demand for alternative hospitality models grows across the Middle East, particularly in the midscale segment, Nest could represent a turning point in how Sharjah positions itself within the region’s tourism ecosystem—bridging the gap between affordability and elevated experience.
