A Storied House With Artistic Soul

La Maison Bleue was originally designed by antiques collector Amr Khalil with architect Olivier Sednaoui as a dock and guest house for noted destination developer Samih Sawiris, intended to host friends and inspire creativity. Over time, the property has evolved into a standout address in El Gouna, built around the idea of “a house from which to admire the natural beauty and cultural character” of its surroundings.

The residence’s signature pastel-blue façade evokes a dreamlike presence against El Gouna’s desert and lagoon landscape, capturing light and colour in a way that feels both timeless and cinematic. Interiors throughout the 13 suites are adorned with original artworks, antiques and bespoke decorative elements that together tell a story of global influences and local warmth.

Suite Living With Character

La Maison Bleue’s suites are individually designed to reflect a unique personality and spatial narrative. With several categories, including Premium, Super Premium and Beach Front residences, the suites span generous footprints and blend historical furnishings with contemporary comforts. Elements such as parquet floors, lofty ceilings, painted murals by local artists and period furniture help evoke a sense of heritage and authenticity, while glass-fronted terraces and private access points frame views over the beach, lagoon and gardens.

Guests enjoy personalised hospitality and a sense of privacy uncommon in larger resorts, making La Maison Bleue a favoured choice for couples, bespoke celebrations, intimate weddings and special retreats. For event bookings, the property can also be rented in its entirety, offering a secluded enclave for larger gatherings.

Culinary Craft And French Flair

Dining at La Maison Bleue reflects its cultural eclecticism and seaside setting. The kitchen sources produce from local farms and its own greenhouse, inspiring menus that harmonise French and Egyptian flavours under the guidance of chefs who focus on seasonal and inventive culinary expressions. Bars throughout the property embrace Gallic spirit, marrying classic techniques with contemporary mixology.

Wellness And Leisure By The Sea

Well-being is intrinsic to the La Maison Bleue experience. A tranquil spa offers a Turkish bath, sauna, steam room and both hot and cold plunge pools. Daily movement classes, mindfulness sessions and personalised training programmes extend the sense of retreat beyond the visual beauty of the property into thoughtful care for body and spirit.

Beyond the property’s boundaries, El Gouna provides an active playground of lagoons, sandy beaches, watersports, yachts and vibrant marina nightlife. Tuk-tuks frequent the doorstep, while private boats are available for hire, ensuring seamless exploration of the destination’s natural and social landscapes.
