Dubai, UAE - Wasl Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emirates NBD under which the bank will give eligible buyers in the developer’s off-plan projects dedicated support with home financing.

The two companies said the agreement brings Wasl’s real estate expertise together with the bank’s banking capabilities, with the aim of making the purchase of an off-plan home a more connected process for buyers.

Wasl is described in the announcement as one of Dubai’s leading real estate developers. Emirates NBD is presented as the leading banking group across MENATSA, the region spanning the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye and South Asia.

Both sides said the goal is to make arranging a mortgage smoother for qualifying customers across Wasl’s off-plan developments.

Those customers will be able to use Emirates NBD’s home financing products, backed by a relationship team set up for the partnership that knows Wasl’s developments.

The team will walk buyers through the financing options open to them, what they need to qualify and which documents are required. It will then stay with them through the application until the loan is disbursed.

Any loan made under the arrangement still has to meet Emirates NBD’s mortgage policies and eligibility criteria, along with the laws and regulations that apply.

Rashed Mohammad, Chief Real Estate Officer at Wasl Group, said: “At Wasl, our mandate extends far beyond asset development; we are focused on creating lasting value and delivering an experience that places our customers at the centre of everything we do. Our strategic partnership with Emirates NBD merges institutional expertise with dedicated solutions, empowering buyers to take decisions with absolute confidence. Through these collaborations, we continue to scale our service standards, drive operational excellence and contribute to a more integrated and customer-centric real estate ecosystem in Dubai.”

Marwan Hadi, Group Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, said: “We are pleased to partner with Wasl to provide customers with dedicated support as they explore financing options for off-plan properties. By combining our financing expertise with Wasl’s strong development portfolio, we aim to make the financing journey more seamless and improve the overall customer experience. The partnership reflects our broader commitment to supporting the long-term growth of Dubai’s real estate sector and helping customers make informed, confident decisions.”

Emirates NBD agreed a similar arrangement in April with Sobha Realty, offering integrated mortgage solutions to off-plan buyers across Sobha’s Dubai developments.

Earlier this month, South Korea’s Ssangyong E&C announced its own MoU with Wasl, covering $2.72 billion (AED 10 billion) of new projects to be developed across three years.
