SLB Wins Four Aramco Contracts Covering More Than 450 Saudi Wells

Under the agreements, SLB will manage end-to-end well construction services covering more than 450 wells during an initial three-year term. The contracts include an option for an extension of up to two additional years.

SLB said its integrated well construction model brings different stages of well delivery into a single technology-enabled operating model.

The approach combines digital drilling workflows with automated drilling, evaluation, fluids, cementing and completions products and services. According to SLB, the model is intended to improve efficiency, execution consistency and well performance across large-scale drilling programmes.

Steve Gassen, SLB’s executive vice president of Geographies, said delivering hundreds of wells across several operating environments requires an integrated approach connecting planning, execution and digital workflows.

Contracts expand SLB’s Saudi operations

SLB said the four awards represent a significant expansion of its integrated well construction business in Saudi Arabia and build on decades of collaboration between the company and Aramco.

The company said the contracts will expand deployment of its integrated well construction model across Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas reservoirs.
