Sales value increased 12.3% from the previous week but remained 14.9% below the same period a year earlier. The number of transactions fell 12.4% week on week and 9.8% year on year.
Villas represented the largest property category by sales value, with transactions worth QR203.5 million. Vacant land followed at QR178.5 million, while residential apartment sales reached QR27 million, according to Aqarat’s weekly market data.
Al Daayen recorded the highest sales value among Qatar’s municipalities at QR137.9 million. Doha followed with QR105 million, while Al Rayyan registered QR97.8 million in transactions.
The figures show that the weekly increase in overall sales value came despite a decline in the number of completed deals compared with both the previous week and the same period in 2025.
Mortgage activity recorded a stronger weekly increase. Qatar registered 37 mortgage contracts with a combined value of QR805.42 million during the period.
The number of mortgage transactions increased 184.6% from the previous week and 54.2% year on year, according to Aqarat. Vacant land represented the largest mortgage category, followed by villas and residential buildings. Doha led mortgage activity by municipality, ahead of Al Rayyan and Al Khor and Al Thakira.
Mortgage values during the week were almost twice the value of completed property sales, making financing activity one of the most prominent features of the latest market figures.
Qatar also recorded 502 lease contracts during the week, with a combined rental value of QR4.76 million.
That compared with 538 contracts worth QR5.47 million in the previous week. Rental value declined 13% week on week, while the number of contracts fell 6.7%.
The latest figures follow continued activity across Qatar’s real estate market in 2026, with sales, mortgage and rental transactions being tracked through Aqarat’s weekly market indicators.
