Bruno Guélaff showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to architecture, interiors and branded residential design. There are designers who define themselves by a discipline, and there are those who simply create. Bruno Guélaff belongs firmly to the latter.
For more than two decades, Guélaff has approached every commission with the same conviction: architecture, interiors, lighting, furniture, branding and art are not separate professions. They are different expressions of one creative language. The scale may change, the client may change and the brief may evolve, but the starting point remains remarkably consistent. Listen first. Understand the people. Then allow the design to reveal itself.
Working through Studio Bruno Guélaff in Dubai, Bruno has built a diverse portfolio spanning private residences, branded developments, commercial environments and bespoke interiors. Yet despite the breadth of his work, there has never been a desire to create a recognisable signature style.
Every project begins as a blank page, shaped by its location, its context and, most importantly, the lives of the people who will experience it.
That philosophy explains why no two Studio Bruno Guélaff projects ever look the same. Some embrace nature. Others celebrate restraint. Some explore hospitality on a grand scale, while others focus on the intimacy of family life. Each project responds to a different story rather than following a predetermined architectural language.
Curiosity has always been Guélaff's greatest design tool. Inspiration rarely arrives while sitting behind a desk. It is discovered while travelling, studying craftsmanship, walking construction sites, observing cities or simply noticing the quiet details that most people overlook. A piece of weathered stone, the way afternoon light moves across a wall or a conversation with a client can all become the beginning of an architectural idea.
For Guélaff, architecture has never been about creating beautiful objects. It is about shaping experiences that quietly improve everyday life. A home should feel welcoming long before its details are noticed. A workplace should encourage creativity without demanding attention. A branded residence should create a sense of belonging rather than simply delivering luxury.
This philosophy connects every project presented in these pages. While each belongs to a different client, a different programme and a different context, they all pursue the same ambition: to create places that remain relevant because they are designed around people rather than trends.
Architecture is not about creating buildings. It is about creating places people never want to leave.

The Chedi Private Residences represents a defining milestone in contemporary branded living. Developed by Al Seeb Developments, it introduces the world's first standalone private residences under The Chedi brand, transforming a globally recognised hospitality philosophy into an entirely residential experience.
From the outset, the ambition reached far beyond designing another luxury tower. The objective was to create an environment where architecture, hospitality and wellbeing exist in complete harmony, allowing every arrival, every shared space and every private residence to contribute to a lifestyle that feels effortless, refined and deeply personal.
Rather than relying on visual extravagance, the architecture embraces proportion, natural light and carefully curated materials. Every space has been composed to create a sense of calm, allowing the experience of living to become the true measure of luxury. Generous volumes, carefully framed views and restrained detailing establish an atmosphere that feels timeless rather than fashionable.
For Guélaff, branded residences represent one of the most exciting opportunities in contemporary architecture. When hospitality is integrated thoughtfully, it becomes almost invisible. Every detail has already been resolved before residents arrive, allowing daily life to unfold with complete ease.
The Chedi Private Residences demonstrates that architecture can shape far more than a building. It can create a community, establish a sense of belonging and redefine what it means to feel at home.
The Chedi Private Residences
The Chedi Private Residences PenthouseLa Maison Horizontale is rooted in the landscape of Dubai. Inspired by the colours of the desert, the quality of natural light and the rhythm of contemporary family life, the residence explores how architecture can feel both monumental and deeply welcoming.
Strong horizontal planes define the identity of the home. Floating rooflines, generous cantilevers and elongated terraces establish a sense of permanence while responding naturally to the climate. These architectural gestures provide shade, frame carefully considered views and create a constant dialogue between solid and void.
Throughout the day, sunlight transforms the architecture. Deep shadows, warm reflections and changing textures give the building a dynamic quality that cannot be appreciated through drawings alone. It is a residence designed to be experienced rather than simply observed.
Inside, the architecture softens. Warm limestone, natural timber, handcrafted plaster and integrated lighting create interiors that feel calm, tactile and inviting. At the centre of the home, a sculptural staircase becomes both circulation and architecture, connecting the generous volumes while acting as the heart of the residence.
For Guélaff, La Maison Horizontale reflects a simple belief: architecture should never be imported without context. Every project should respond to its place, its climate and the people who inhabit it. The result is a residence that feels contemporary while remaining deeply connected to its environment.
La Maison Horizontale
La Maison HorizontalePerched above the shoreline of Palm Jumeirah, this private penthouse was conceived as a peaceful retreat overlooking one of Dubai's most iconic waterfronts. Rather than creating a dramatic architectural statement, the design focuses on atmosphere, proportion and the quiet confidence of beautifully crafted spaces.
Natural light becomes the defining feature of the interiors. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames panoramic views while generous volumes create an effortless sense of openness. Every room flows naturally into the next, allowing architecture, furniture and the surrounding landscape to become part of one continuous experience.
The material palette remains intentionally restrained. Natural stone, warm timber, sculptural forms and richly textured fabrics create an environment that feels refined without becoming formal. Every finish has been selected for its honesty, durability and ability to age gracefully.
Throughout the residence, bespoke detailing reinforces the belief that luxury is found in craftsmanship rather than excess. Carefully integrated lighting, custom joinery and precisely proportioned furniture contribute to an atmosphere that feels calm, elegant and deeply comfortable.
For Guélaff, the greatest compliment is when a space immediately feels like home. This penthouse reflects that philosophy, proving that timeless elegance is rarely created through extravagance. It is achieved through balance, proportion and an unwavering attention to detail.
The quietest spaces are often the ones we remember the longest.
Palm Penthouse
Looking across this collection of work, one idea quietly connects every project.
Not a style.
Not a material palette.
Not a particular architectural language.
But a way of thinking.
For Guélaff, architecture has never been about leaving a signature on a skyline.
It has always been about improving the everyday lives of the people who experience the spaces created.
Every project begins long before the first line is drawn.
