Bahrain Opens Reservations for 137 Homes Across Three Salman City Projects

The projects are being developed in partnership with private-sector companies under the Government Land Development Rights Programme. The ministry said the initiative follows directives to accelerate housing projects and provide 50,000 new housing units.

Three projects to deliver 137 housing units

The new homes will be spread across three developments involving several Bahraini real estate companies.

Naseej Real Estate Development and Al Moayyed Contracting Group will develop 24 housing units, while Delmon Gate Company will develop 69 units. Bahrain First Real Estate Development Company will deliver the remaining 44 units.

Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi said the projects will expand the Government Land Development Rights Programme and increase private-sector participation in social housing.

She said the additional supply will also provide more housing options compatible with the financing available to beneficiaries.

Programme expands private-sector housing partnerships

The latest Salman City projects follow earlier developments carried out through private-sector partnerships under the same programme.

These include the Suhail projects in Al Lawzi, Al Naseem neighbourhood in Salman City, Al Wadi in Al Buhair and Danat Sanad in Sanad. According to the minister, those developments have increased the range of property options available to beneficiaries of housing finance programmes.

Al Rumaihi said the Government Land Development Rights Programme uses the expertise of real estate developers to provide housing units aligned with available housing finance and to accelerate the delivery of housing services.

Projects announced ahead of housing conference

The three developments were announced ahead of the second Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition, scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 3.

The event brings together government entities, financing institutions and real estate developers, with a focus on housing partnerships, financing options and housing-sector solutions.
