The UAE’s hospitality landscape is preparing for a major transformation as Wynn Al Marjan Island, the country’s first integrated resort featuring licensed gaming, initiates its recruitment campaign ahead of its 2027 opening. Located in Ras Al Khaimah, this ambitious $3.9 billion development promises to set a new benchmark for luxury resorts in the Middle East.
A New Era for Ras Al Khaimah
Strategically situated on the scenic Al Marjan Island, Wynn's project represents a major milestone not just for Ras Al Khaimah, but for the entire UAE hospitality and entertainment sector. Traditionally overshadowed by neighboring Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah is positioning itself as a prime destination for global tourism and investment, and Wynn Al Marjan Island is central to this vision.
The resort will offer a wide array of amenities, including a luxury hotel, an exclusive gaming area, upscale shopping, world-class dining, a spa and wellness center, and extensive event and convention spaces. When completed, it is expected to attract millions of tourists annually, substantially boosting the emirate’s economy.
Recruitment Starts Early for World-Class Standards
To ensure flawless operations from day one, Wynn Resorts has opened a dedicated careers portal where interested candidates can apply for a range of positions. Opportunities span departments such as hospitality management, food and beverage, wellness services, entertainment, technical operations, and security.
Executives from Wynn emphasize that early recruitment is crucial. By hiring and training talent well before the resort's opening, they aim to instill Wynn’s renowned standards of excellence in service, hospitality, and operational management. Positions are open to both regional and international candidates, reflecting Wynn's commitment to building a diverse, highly skilled workforce.
Record-Breaking Financing Wynn Al Marjan Island’s construction is being supported by a $2.4 billion loan facility—the largest ever hospitality financing transaction in the UAE. This record-breaking deal not only underscores the confidence investors have in the project but also signals a shift in the regional investment landscape toward large-scale luxury developments outside of the traditional hubs.
The overall project cost is estimated at $3.9 billion, with a consortium of local and international banks backing the venture. Wynn Resorts, operating under its Wynn Dubai affiliate, holds a minority stake in the project alongside Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding.
An Integrated Resort Like No Other Unlike other luxury developments in the UAE, Wynn Al Marjan Island is designed as a true integrated resort. This means offering an all-encompassing guest experience—where hospitality, gaming, entertainment, retail, and wellness services converge seamlessly under one roof.
The gaming component, a first for the UAE, is being handled carefully to align with local regulations and cultural considerations. While details remain closely guarded, it is understood that the project will comply with the frameworks laid out by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority and other governing bodies.

The decision to expand into the UAE—an increasingly competitive market for global tourism—signals Wynn’s long-term commitment to international growth. It also aligns with the UAE’s broader tourism strategy, which aims to attract 40 million hotel guests by 2030.
With construction moving ahead, financing secured, and recruitment now underway, Wynn Al Marjan Island is on track to transform not only Ras Al Khaimah’s skyline but also the very fabric of the UAE’s luxury tourism industry.
