Abu Dhabi, UAE: IMKAN, the Abu Dhabi-based global master developer and a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG), has announced the acquisition of a 51 percent stake in Majestic Marine Investments Group LLC, a leading regional marine engineering and marina construction specialist operating across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

The strategic acquisition strengthens IMKAN’s long-term expansion plans and enhances its in-house delivery capabilities for waterfront, marina, and coastal developments, as demand for integrated marine infrastructure continues to rise across the GCC.

Founded in the 1980s, Majestic Group has established itself as one of the region’s most experienced marine engineering companies, having delivered more than 200 projects with a combined value exceeding USD 272 million (AED 1.0 billion). The company employs over 400 professionals across its operations in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, all of whom will now become part of IMKAN’s growing portfolio.

Strengthening Marine And Coastal Development Capabilities

The acquisition marks a significant milestone for IMKAN as it expands beyond traditional real estate development into specialised construction verticals. Majestic Group will operate as a core complement to IMKAN’s property development platform, providing in-house expertise across marine construction, marina development, coastal infrastructure, and offshore works.

This integration is expected to support IMKAN’s existing and upcoming waterfront projects, while enabling greater control over delivery timelines, technical execution, and quality standards across complex coastal developments.

Engineer Suwaidan Al Dhaheri, CEO of IMKAN Properties, said: “This acquisition marks a key strategic move for IMKAN to expand its portfolio of services and establish in-house marine construction capabilities. Majestic Group’s deep technical expertise and strong delivery track record across the UAE and Saudi Arabia will support the development of high-quality waterfront, marina and coastal projects, while positioning IMKAN for long-term growth in a sector expected to continue expanding across the GCC.”

Accelerating Regional Growth And Operational Synergies

Through the partnership, IMKAN aims to broaden its operational footprint while enhancing execution efficiency across marine and coastal assets. The move aligns with growing regional investment in waterfront destinations, mixed-use coastal communities, and marina-led developments that form a key component of urban expansion strategies across the Gulf.

Majestic Group will continue to operate under its established brand, leveraging IMKAN’s development pipeline and financial backing to accelerate growth and scale its operations across the region.

“Joining IMKAN marks an exciting new chapter in Majestic Group’s journey,” said Marios Economides, CEO of Majestic Marine Investments Group. “With IMKAN’s vision and support, we are well positioned to accelerate our growth and contribute to the delivery of iconic developments across the region.”

Strategic Advisory And Transaction Support

The acquisition also reflects Abu Dhabi Capital Group’s continued commitment to diversifying its investment portfolio across high-growth sectors, particularly infrastructure, construction, and development platforms with strong regional relevance.

Asend Capital, led by Managing Partner Abed Assy, acted as the exclusive M&A advisor on the transaction. Deloitte and Dentons served as financial and legal advisors, respectively.
