Image: ShutterstockAjman, UAE: Ajman’s rental market recorded significant expansion in 2025, with the total value of lease contracts exceeding USD 1.80 billion (AED 6.625 billion), according to the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman. The figure represents an increase of more than USD 461 million (AED 1.695 billion) and a growth rate of 34.4% compared to 2024, underscoring the emirate’s strengthening investment environment.
The surge in rental transactions reflects sustained economic momentum across Ajman and growing demand in residential, commercial and investment segments. Authorities attribute the performance to flexible regulatory policies, infrastructure development and continued enhancement of public services.
Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman, said the emirate continues to consolidate its position as a destination of choice for residents, tourists and investors in alignment with Ajman Vision 2030. The long-term strategy aims to build a competitive business ecosystem and a sustainable investment climate that supports economic diversification and growth.
He noted that Ajman offers a secure and integrated living environment supported by investor-friendly executive policies, particularly in infrastructure and service delivery, reinforcing the emirate’s competitiveness in attracting quality investments.
Breaking down the figures, residential lease contracts in 2025 exceeded USD 904 million (AED 3.320 billion), commercial contracts reached USD 660 million (AED 2.423 billion), and investment contracts totalled approximately USD 240 million (AED 881 million). The data reflects continued housing demand, a rebound in commercial activity and sustained investor confidence in Ajman’s business landscape.

Al Nuaimi further highlighted Ajman’s strategic geographical positioning as a connecting hub between emirates, which has contributed to increased demand across lease categories. He also referenced the leadership’s emphasis on creating a facilitative and supportive regulatory framework for both citizens and investors, describing the emirate’s legislation as flexible, transparent and conducive to entrepreneurship.
As part of Ajman’s digital transformation agenda, the department confirmed that smart initiatives have accelerated transaction processing times and enhanced service efficiency in line with government best practices.
Yousef Mohammed Al Sheiba Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Rental Regulation Sector, stated that lease contract attestation transactions saw notable growth across all categories in 2025.
The Department completed 115,624 residential contract transactions, 42,839 commercial contract transactions, and 282 investment contract transactions, reflecting the efficiency of the system and the growing demand in the rental market across the emirate
he added.
The figures position Ajman as one of the UAE’s most dynamic rental markets, supported by population growth, economic activity and an increasingly digitalised regulatory environment.
