His work has had a defining influence across the region, spanning landmark projects such as the award-winning The Block at Dubai Design District, Abu Dhabi Airport, King Salman Park in Riyadh, and the Terra Sustainability Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Each reflects a clear and consistent ambition to elevate the role of landscape within the built environment. Duncan brings a global perspective, having lived and worked in the UK, USA, and UAE, and has taught as a visiting lecturer across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the MENA region. A frequent speaker and contributor to international design forums, he continues to advocate for a landscape-led approach to urban development.

He is widely recognised for his considered yet progressive approach, creating dynamic, high-impact environments that challenge established norms within the industry. Under his leadership, desert INK has become a pioneer in sustainable practice, advancing the use of innovative materials and native plant species to deliver significant environmental benefits. Known for pushing boundaries, Duncan leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver work that is both creatively ambitious and contextually driven, creating spaces that are not only expressive, but enduring.
