VISA, Inc.'s Headquarters campus in Foster City, California, United States.Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Visa and Aldar have announced a strategic partnership that marks the first live deployment of Visa Intelligent Commerce in the region, introducing an end-to-end, voice-enabled payment experience.
As part of the launch phase, the first transaction saw a customer use the Live Aldar mobile app to pay real estate service charges through an AI agent. The agent guided the customer through a clear, consent-driven process to confirm details and complete the transaction seamlessly. The payment was processed using an Emirates NBD Darna Visa Credit Card, a co-branded card linked to Aldar’s digital loyalty platform, Darna.
Through the partnership, Aldar is introducing a pilot use case focused on automating routine and repetitive transactions via AI agents, enhancing convenience while maintaining transparency and user control. In the coming weeks, Visa cardholders across the United Arab Emirates will gain access to an AI agent through both the Live Aldar app and the Aldar website, enabling them to pay real estate service charges with ease. Additional capabilities are planned for rollout in 2026.

Aldar, in partnership with Visa, is pioneering the UAE’s first end-to-end voice-enabled agentic payment. Image: AldarLive Aldar serves as a single digital touchpoint where customers can manage their interactions with Aldar, from accessing services to earning and redeeming loyalty points and unlocking personalised benefits. This centralised experience provides a strong foundation for integrating agentic commerce into everyday interactions, supported by Aldar’s digital platforms and Visa’s global payment infrastructure.
Visa Intelligent Commerce is a suite of APIs and supporting tools designed to enable secure transactions initiated by AI agents within Visa’s ecosystem, while adhering to strict compliance and security standards. A key component is tokenisation, powered by Visa’s Token Management Service (TMS), which safeguards customer credentials and facilitates secure agent-initiated payments.
The collaboration positions Visa and Aldar at the forefront of agentic commerce in the region, demonstrating how AI-driven payments can be deployed securely and at scale to streamline real-world transactions and enhance customer experience.
