Taraf and Karl Lagerfeld Break Ground on Landmark Villas in Meydan

Dubai, UAE – August 13, 2025 – Taraf, the real estate division of UAE-headquartered Yas Holding, has officially broken ground on KARL LAGERFELD VILLAS, a landmark residential project that marks the iconic fashion brand’s debut in the Middle East property market.

Located in the heart of Meydan, facing crystal-clear lagoons, the development brings the legacy of the late Karl Lagerfeld to life in one of Dubai’s most exclusive enclaves. It reflects Taraf’s vision of delivering timeless, design-first communities inspired by global creativity.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by senior representatives from Taraf alongside design and construction partners RSP Architects and Dar Al Handasah. Enabling contractor Pinnacle and infrastructure contractor Dar Alwad also joined the event, marking the start of construction on 51 signature villas that promise elegance, exclusivity, and serene waterfront living.

A Masterpiece of Vision and Craftsmanship

Each villa is designed to embody the Maison’s distinctive Parisian style, inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s love for the 18th century—an era defined by creativity and intellectual curiosity. The design draws inspiration from Karl Lagerfeld's Maison at 21 Rue St Guillaume in Paris’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a location personally chosen by Karl himself.

Plot sizes range from 7,761 sq ft to 19,267 sq ft (721 sqm to 1,790 sqm), with villas offering five to seven bedrooms. Surrounded by lush gardens, immersive water features, and full-length pools, the homes are designed to flood interiors with natural light through feature windows and open atriums.
