Qatar Property Transactions Exceed $153 Million in One Week

Qatar recorded more than $153 million in property transactions during the week of May 17 to 21, reflecting continued momentum across the real estate sector.
Qatar’s real estate market recorded more than $153 million in transactions during the week of May 17 to 21 across multiple municipalities and property sectors.

DOHA, QATAR - Qatar’s real estate market recorded more than $153 million (QR558.8 million) in property transactions during the week of May 17 to 21, reflecting continued activity across the country’s residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

Figures released by the Real Estate Registration Department at Qatar’s Ministry of Justice showed that registered sales contracts reached approximately $153 million (QR558,832,165) during the reporting period, while residential unit sales added a further $11.6 million (QR42.1 million) in transactions.

The latest weekly performance marks a notable increase compared to the previous reporting period, when property transactions totalled around $111.4 million (QR405.7 million), highlighting sustained momentum across Qatar’s property market.

According to the weekly bulletin issued by the Real Estate Registration Department, the transactions covered a broad range of property categories and municipalities, reflecting the continued depth and diversification of the country’s real estate activity.

Assets traded during the week included vacant land plots, residential houses, apartment buildings, residential compounds, commercial-residential properties, retail shops, residential units, a palace, and a mixed-use administrative and commercial building.

The majority of activity was concentrated across key municipalities including Al Rayyan, Doha, Al Daayen, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Umm Salal, and Al Khor and Al Thakhira. Additional transactions were also recorded in prominent development areas such as The Pearl Island, Lusail 69, Al Wukair, Al Kharaitiyat, and Umm Al Amad.

The latest figures continue to reinforce the resilience of Qatar’s real estate sector, which has remained active despite broader regional and global economic uncertainty.

Market activity across Doha and surrounding municipalities continues to be supported by ongoing infrastructure investment, population growth, demand for residential assets, and the continued expansion of mixed-use and master-planned developments.

The rise in transaction values also reflects sustained interest across residential and investment-focused assets, particularly within strategically located communities and integrated urban developments around the capital.

Qatar’s property sector has continued to benefit from regulatory reforms and investment initiatives introduced in recent years, alongside growing interest in long-term residential and mixed-use opportunities tied to the country’s wider economic diversification plans.
