The strategic agreement signing between Msheireb Properties and Honeywell, to enhance automation and AI-powered systems in Msheireb Downtown Doha, making it one of the world’s best and most advanced smart city models. Image: Ooredoo QatarDoha, Qatar: Msheireb Properties has entered into a strategic collaboration with Ooredoo Qatar and Honeywell to deploy a next-generation, AI-powered smart city management platform for Msheireb Downtown Doha, reinforcing the district’s position as one of the world’s most advanced intelligent urban environments.
Unveiled at Web Summit Qatar, the agreement introduces an integrated artificial intelligence platform designed to optimise city-wide operations while enhancing the quality of life for residents, workers, and visitors. Under the partnership, Ooredoo has been appointed as the prime partner responsible for managing operations, while Honeywell will customise its City Suite platform to serve as the digital backbone of the district.
The platform will integrate data from thousands of sensors across Msheireb Downtown Doha into a unified command and control environment. AI-enabled analytics will consolidate operational performance data from city services, while a digital twin of the infrastructure will allow engineers to simulate upgrades, reduce downtime, and improve long-term planning.
These capabilities will be delivered through a central AI-powered command centre, enabling real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, automated incident management, and enhanced operational decision-making through advanced data analytics.
The agreement also includes five years of managed services to ensure the continuous evolution of the smart city platform. Aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, the collaboration supports Qatar’s broader ambition to position itself as a global leader in digital transformation and sustainable urban development.

Msheireb Downtown Doha is recognised globally for its integration of heritage-sensitive urban design with advanced technology. The district currently incorporates more than 650,000 IoT sensors, 10,000 automated basement parking spaces—a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest underground parking facility—10,000 CCTV cameras, and fully integrated systems for building automation, utilities, security, and emergency services.
