Image: X - @mohamed_alabbarDubai, UAE - September 5, 2025 - In a heartfelt message on social media, Mohamed Alabbar honoured the late Giorgio Armani, calling him “a visionary, a friend, and the timeless soul behind global elegance.” The recognition comes at a poignant moment following the passing of the legendary Italian designer on September 4, 2025.
Alabbar’s tribute highlighted the impactful collaboration that brought Armani Hotels to iconic global cities, including Dubai and Milan. Their partnership between Emaar Properties and Giorgio Armani’s fashion empire fused architectural ambition with refined elegance, creating hospitality destinations as stylish as they are sophisticated.
Since inaugurating the first Armani Hotel at the Burj Khalifa in 2008, the brand set a new standard for luxury hospitality. This milestone paved the way for expanded ventures like the Armani hotel in Milan, and solidified the intersection between haute couture and upscale living experiences.
