Meraas has awarded major construction contracts to advance The Acres and The Acres Estates villa communities in Dubailand. Image MeraasDUBAI, UAE – Meraas, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded AED2.4 billion ($653.5 million) in main construction contracts for new phases of its flagship villa communities, The Acres and The Acres Estates, located in Dubailand.
The award marks a significant expansion of Dubai’s high-quality residential pipeline, as demand for premium villa communities continues to grow among both local and international buyers.
Under the contracts, United Engineering Construction (UNEC) will deliver The Acres, while GCC Contracting has been appointed to lead construction works for The Acres Estates.
Acres Villas. Image: Meraas The scope of work includes the construction, testing, commissioning and handover of 557 villas. The latest phase of The Acres will feature 371 villas ranging from three to five bedrooms, alongside essential community infrastructure. The Acres Estates will comprise 186 five- to seven-bedroom residences, positioned as a more exclusive, larger-format offering.

The Acres is designed as a nature-integrated residential community, centred around the Halo Loop Park, with a focus on landscaped green spaces, walkability and resort-style amenities. The Acres Estates builds on this concept with a more refined offering, including curated architectural collections, premium waterfront elements and enhanced landscaping features such as swimmable lagoons.

The development has achieved LEED Gold for Communities Precertification, reflecting a strong emphasis on sustainable design, resource efficiency and long-term environmental performance.
