Riyadh – Saudi Arania: Marriott International is set to expand its luxury hospitality footprint in Saudi Arabia with the opening of W Riyadh KAFD in May 2026, marking a notable addition to the Kingdom’s evolving high-end hotel landscape.

Located within the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), the hotel will feature 252 rooms and suites, alongside dedicated meeting and event facilities designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The upcoming launch reflects continued growth in Riyadh’s hospitality sector, driven by increasing demand for premium accommodation and lifestyle-led experiences.

The W Riyadh KAFD will offer a range of amenities, including multiple dining concepts, wellness facilities, and recreational spaces, positioning the property as a destination that aligns with the expectations of modern luxury travellers.

Its location within KAFD places it at the centre of one of Riyadh’s most significant urban developments, designed to integrate business, residential, and lifestyle components into a cohesive environment.

Supporting Vision 2030 and tourism growth

The development aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which prioritises economic diversification and the expansion of the tourism and hospitality sectors.

KAFD has been identified as a key business and lifestyle hub within Riyadh, attracting both regional and international visitors, and contributing to the city’s transformation into a global destination.

The launch of W Riyadh KAFD highlights the increasing interest from international hotel operators in the Saudi market, as large-scale infrastructure projects and regulatory reforms continue to unlock new opportunities.

As new hospitality assets enter the market, competition is expected to intensify, supporting higher service standards and a broader range of offerings across the sector.

With ongoing investment in tourism, infrastructure, and urban development, Riyadh’s hospitality market is expected to continue expanding, reinforcing its position as a leading destination within the GCC.
