Keturah Says Dubai Civility Initiative Will Shape Future Communities

• DUBAI, UAE – Luxury developer Keturah has welcomed Dubai's newly announced civility initiatives, describing them as an important step in strengthening the emirate's position as a global leader in creating cities that improve everyday quality of life.

The announcement follows plans by the Dubai Civility Committee to introduce a Civility Guidebook and new guidelines for celebrating different occasions as part of a broader effort to enhance public behaviour, improve the city's appearance, and elevate overall standards of civility.

The wider programme also includes the development of an integrated city lighting plan and a comprehensive review of the urban experience aimed at establishing the standards and systems required to create what has been described as the world's most civilised urban environment.

According to Keturah, the initiative reflects a more holistic approach to city-building, where infrastructure, public spaces and residential communities work together to influence how people experience and interact with their surroundings.

Keturah currently has two luxury residential communities under development in Dubai that have been designed around principles intended to support wellbeing, interaction and quality of life.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences at Keturah Resort, located on the shores of Dubai Creek adjacent to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, combines branded residences, hospitality offerings and a dedicated wellness centre within a master-planned environment designed to encourage social interaction and community engagement.

Meanwhile, Keturah Reserve, a $1.55 billion (AED5.7 billion) bio-living community in Mohammed Bin Rashid City's District 7, has been designed to support quality of life through planning principles that consider factors such as air quality, movement, connectivity and the relationship between private and shared spaces.

The civility initiative follows the introduction of Dubai's new Public Safety laws, which came into effect on June 1 and are aimed at enhancing safety standards across public spaces, buildings, facilities and events.

According to Al Gaddah, such initiatives strengthen the connection between governance and urban design while highlighting the importance of aligning private sector development with Dubai's long-term ambitions for safety, quality and liveability.

As Dubai continues to evolve its urban planning framework, the latest civility measures are expected to further influence how developers approach community design, placemaking and the overall residential experience across the emirate.
