Al Reem Island followed in second place, reflecting sustained investor demand across the capital’s key residential and mixed-use destinations.
Data from the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre shows that total real estate transactions reached $17.97 billion (AED66 billion) in Q1 2026, marking a significant increase of 160.7% across 13,518 transactions.
In comparison, the same period in 2025 recorded $6.89 billion (AED25.31 billion) across 6,896 transactions, highlighting the accelerated growth of Abu Dhabi’s real estate sector.
Hudayriyat Island, developed by Modon, recorded real estate transactions valued at approximately $3.26 billion (AED11.97 billion), positioning it as the leading contributor to total market activity.
Al Reem Island followed with transactions totalling $2.57 billion (AED9.45 billion), reinforcing its position as one of Abu Dhabi’s most active and established residential markets.
The strong performance of these areas reflects increasing investor confidence in Abu Dhabi’s real estate market, supported by high-quality developments and ongoing urban expansion across the emirate.
Hudayriyat Island continues to attract attention for its integrated community offering, combining residential developments with sports, leisure, education, and hospitality infrastructure.
The island is positioned as a modern, connected, and sustainable destination, offering a diverse mix of lifestyle-driven amenities designed to support long-term residential demand.
This approach aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader urban development strategy, which prioritises integrated communities and high-quality living environments.
