Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – 25 July 2025 – Hard Rock International has partnered with HR Hotel FZ LLC, a joint venture between db Group and RAK Hospitality Holding, to bring its branded Hard Rock Hotel & Residences to Ras Al Khaimah. Positioned in the emirate’s Beach District, neighbouring Al Marjan Island, the mixed-use development is set to open in 2028.
The project will feature approximately 300 hotel rooms and 395 branded residences, offering guests and residents a distinct Hard Rock lifestyle. With a projected impact of creating around 500 permanent jobs, the development aims to reinforce the emirate’s credentials in lifestyle tourism and branded residential offerings.
Designed as a complete destination, the complex will offer multiple dining venues including waterfront restaurants and a rooftop bar, as well as conference facilities, an event venue, beach club, swimming pools, spa, and fitness centre, catering to both visitors and long-term residents.
Todd Hricko, Senior Vice President & Head of Global Hotel Development at Hard Rock International, commented:
“Hard Rock International is proud to introduce its hotel and residence accommodations known for its unique brand of entertainment and superior hospitality to the region.”
The project represents db Group’s first major development outside Malta. Silvio Debono, Chairman of db Group, said:
“We are delighted to partner with RAK Hospitality Holding and Hard Rock International on this landmark project, our first major venture beyond Malta ... Together, we aim to deliver a world-class destination that embodies Hard Rock’s energy and spirit while offering guests a truly unique lifestyle experience on the shores of Ras Al Khaimah.”
Alison Grinnell, CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding, added:
“This partnership demonstrates exactly what we mean when we talk about strategic collaboration that elevates the entire emirate.”
As a coastal emirate known as the "Nature Emirate," Ras Al Khaimah offers a backdrop of pristine beaches and mountain landscapes. The emirate is rapidly building momentum in hotel and tourism infrastructure. Hard Rock’s entry reflects a broader shift toward branded residences and international hospitality investment in RAK. With projects like this, the emirate reinforces its position as a destination for experiential travel and high-end real estate.
