Dubai, UAE – October 15, 2025: The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has introduced the first phase of its ‘Digital Sale’ service via the Dubai Now app during GITEX Global 2025, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s journey toward a 100% digital real estate ecosystem.

This initiative strengthens Dubai’s leadership in digital governance and innovation, aligning with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033. It sets new standards for speed, transparency, and convenience in property transactions, reinforcing the city’s position as a global hub for sustainable and smart real estate investment.

A Seamless 24/7 Digital Experience

The newly launched service allows users to complete real estate sale and registration transactions entirely online, without visiting service centers or submitting physical paperwork. Through UAE Pass digital signatures, buyers and sellers can securely verify and finalize their transactions anytime, anywhere.

From start to finish, the process is fully remote. The seller can generate a digital sale contract within the app, sign it electronically, and send it to the buyer for completion. Once payment is made to the dedicated transaction account, ownership is automatically transferred, and the title deed is instantly issued in the buyer’s name.

This end-to-end automation brings unprecedented efficiency to the property sale experience while maintaining the highest standards of data security, transparency, and legal compliance.

Driving Dubai’s Digital Economy Vision

The Digital Sale service is part of DLD’s broader digital transformation framework, aimed at simplifying property transactions and enhancing investor confidence through smart, trusted systems.

“By combining cutting-edge digital infrastructure with a unified service model, Dubai is redefining how real estate transactions are executed,” DLD said in a statement. “This service not only enhances convenience but also reflects our long-term vision of positioning Dubai as a model for efficiency, innovation, and transparency in global real estate.”

The initiative comes amid record growth in Dubai’s property sector, with the DLD continuously expanding its suite of digital tools to sustain momentum. It also plays a central role in achieving the emirate’s ambition of becoming a fully AI-enabled government by 2027.

Requirements and Accessibility

To complete a Digital Sale, both the buyer and seller must hold a valid Emirates ID, an active UAE Pass account, and a UAE-based bank account. Eligible properties include freehold residential units, commercial units, and residential townhouses, provided they are mortgage-free and owned by a single individual.

The Dubai Now app, which serves as the city’s unified platform for smart services, currently offers over 350 services from 50 government and private sector entities. It is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play.

Innovation on Display at GITEX Global 2025

At GITEX, DLD is also showcasing its Real Estate Instant Registration Platform, an advanced interactive dashboard displaying real-time transaction data across Dubai’s districts. This initiative reinforces market transparency and investor trust by providing accurate and live updates on property activity.

The Department is additionally unveiling new AI-powered tools and blockchain-integrated systems designed to enhance operational efficiency, streamline customer experience, and support sustainable growth across the real estate sector.

By bridging technology and trust, DLD continues to lead Dubai’s transformation into one of the most advanced and digitally connected real estate markets in the world.
