DUBAI, UAE – DAMAC Properties will bring together people from 77 nationalities at DAMAC Hills on 15 July to plant flame trees in celebration of the 77th birthday of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The initiative forms part of DAMAC's broader commitment to plant 30,000 flame trees by 2030, supporting Dubai's urban greening strategy and long-term sustainability objectives.

The tree-planting event is being organised by DAMAC Properties as part of its Flame Tree Initiative, which is being rolled out across DAMAC communities and developments throughout Dubai. The developer aims to plant 30,000 flame trees by the end of the decade.

Launched under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the Flame Tree Initiative is designed to enhance the emirate's natural landscape while providing greater shade and cooler outdoor environments during the summer months.

Native to Madagascar, flame trees (Delonix regia) are recognised for their vibrant scarlet and orange blossoms and their ability to thrive in Dubai's climate, contributing both shade and colour to urban spaces.

The initiative reflects DAMAC's ongoing commitment to supporting Dubai's environmental ambitions and creating greener, more liveable and sustainable communities across its developments.
