Image: Dubai Media OfficeDUBAI, UAE – Azizi Developments has awarded a $299.5 million (AED1.1 billion) structural steel construction contract for its Burj Azizi project to Eversendai Corporation Berhad, marking a key milestone in the delivery of one of Dubai’s most ambitious high-rise developments.
The agreement was formally concluded between Mirwais Azizi, Chairman of Azizi Developments, and Tan Sri A.K. Nathan, Founder, Executive Chairman, and Group Managing Director of Eversendai Corporation Berhad.
Burj Azizi is planned as a mixed-use skyscraper in Dubai, envisioned to become the second tallest tower in the world. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the emirate’s evolving skyline, reinforcing its position as a global hub for architectural innovation and large-scale development.
The award of the structural steel package represents a critical phase in the construction process, highlighting the scale and engineering complexity of the tower.

The world’s second tallest Burj Azizi tower steel contract has been awarded to Malaysian-headquartered Eversendai. The Burj Azizi project reflects continued momentum in Dubai’s high-rise and mixed-use development sector, where large-scale, engineering-intensive projects are shaping the next phase of urban growth.

Urbaser is building the plant and will run it for five years in a 60:40 JV with Tadweer.
The two-day forum runs on 8 and 9 December at the Four Seasons Hotel Rabat at Kasr Al Bahr.
A 406-room hotel, 900 more slots and a 13-room spa are due at the California resort in summer 2028.
