Image: Al MajdiahLondon, UK: Dar Al Majed Real Estate Company “Al Majdiah” has signed a strategic agreement with international architecture and engineering firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), bringing together global design expertise and the Saudi developer’s ambitions for a new generation of premium real estate projects.
The agreement was announced in London during Al Majdiah’s participation as a Diamond Sponsor of the Saudi Luxury Real Estate Show (SLRE), held at The Peninsula London from August 24 to 28.
Muath Al-Khorayef, General Manager of the Business Sector at Al Majdiah, signed the agreement on behalf of the company, while SOM was represented by Thomas Behr, a founding partner.
The collaboration will draw on SOM’s international architectural and engineering experience, including its work on landmark developments such as the Burj Khalifa, alongside Al Majdiah’s development strategy in Saudi Arabia.
Through the partnership, the companies aim to create luxury projects that contribute to the Kingdom’s evolving urban landscape while supporting wider urbanization and quality-of-life objectives.
Muath Al-Khorayef commented on the partnership, stating: "This collaboration aligns with our strategic goal to create luxury developments that establish new standards in the Saudi market and incorporate top-tier international expertise to turn our 'Inspired Life' vision into unique architectural landmarks, enhancing the quality of our projects and boosting the investment attractiveness of our expanding real estate portfolio."
The agreement reflects Al Majdiah’s focus on incorporating international design capabilities into its growing portfolio as demand for high-end residential and mixed-use developments continues to shape Saudi Arabia’s property sector.

Thomas Behr expressed pride in partnering with Al Majdiah, describing the developer as a prominent influence within Saudi Arabia’s real estate market.
The collaboration is intended to deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions that enhance the urban environment and respond to the rapidly developing direction of the Saudi real estate industry.
Al Majdiah used its presence at the Saudi Luxury Real Estate Show to present its luxury developments and investment opportunities to international investors, family offices and strategic partners.
The agreement with SOM adds an international design partnership to that strategy, with the companies seeking to translate Al Majdiah’s development vision into distinctive architectural projects within the Kingdom.
