ADIB and DAMAC Properties launched a UAE home financing plan offering buyers financing of up to 85% of property value at handover. Image: ADIBDUBAI, UAE - Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and DAMAC Properties have launched a new home financing solution designed to make property ownership more accessible for buyers across the UAE, offering financing of up to 85% of a property’s value upon handover.
The initiative reflects a broader push by both organisations to simplify the homeownership process while supporting the continued growth and maturity of the UAE’s real estate market through more flexible and accessible financing solutions.
The financing plan is aimed at reducing some of the key upfront financial barriers associated with purchasing property, while also enhancing long-term affordability and stability for homeowners and families across the country.
Under the agreement, DAMAC customers will be eligible for financing covering up to 85% of the property value at handover. The package also includes a subvention equivalent of finance profit charges for up to six months, waived property valuation fees, and complimentary property takaful, a Shariah-compliant insurance solution.
The combined offering is designed to lower initial ownership costs while providing buyers with additional financial flexibility and immediate peace of mind during the transition into homeownership.
The collaboration further highlights the growing alignment between the UAE’s banking and real estate sectors as developers and financial institutions continue introducing products aimed at expanding residential ownership opportunities and supporting long-term market sustainability.
Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of DAMAC Properties, said: “True leadership is about anticipating the needs of the people you serve to meet aspiration with opportunity. Through our collaboration with ADIB, we are making homeownership simpler and more affordable to individuals and families. In a world of rapid change, the dream of owning a home should be a constant, so we will continue to build pathways to stability and prosperity to support families in finding a place to call their own.”
The initiative also aligns with ADIB’s wider strategy to modernise and digitise the customer financing experience as part of its long-term Vision 2035 roadmap.
Earlier this year, ADIB introduced a new digital onboarding journey aimed at streamlining home financing applications and significantly reducing processing times.
Amit Malhotra, Global Head of Retail at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, said: “This partnership is a clear demonstration of ADIB’s commitment to revolutionizing the customer experience as part of its vision for 2035. By combining strategic collaborations with leading solutions, such as its new digital onboarding journey launched in February that reduced home finance application times from days to minutes, ADIB is making its vision of becoming the world’s most innovative Islamic bank a reality.”
The launch comes as the UAE’s residential property market continues to record strong transaction activity, supported by sustained investor demand, population growth, evolving residency reforms, and continued expansion across key residential and mixed-use developments.
Industry observers continue to point to financing accessibility as one of the major drivers supporting long-term residential demand, particularly among first-time buyers and end-users seeking greater flexibility in entering the property market.
