DUBAI, UAE: The UAE's PropTech market is expected to more than double in value by 2032 as the adoption of digital technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), continues to transform the country's real estate sector.
The market, valued at approximately $678 million (AED2.49 billion) in 2025, is projected to reach around $1.62 billion (AED5.95 billion) by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.28% between 2026 and 2032, according to market research firm MarkNtel Advisors.
Growth is being supported by the UAE's expanding smart city initiatives, continued investment in digital infrastructure and rising demand for technologies designed to improve efficiency across property development, sales and asset management.
Among the technologies contributing to this transformation, VR and AR are becoming increasingly important across the planning and design stages of real estate projects.
The technologies allow developers, architects and buyers to visualise properties and architectural layouts before construction begins, providing stakeholders with a more detailed understanding of proposed spaces and designs.
As developers look for ways to reduce project risk and improve customer engagement, immersive visualisation can also help identify potential design improvements at an earlier stage. This can reduce costly revisions while improving communication between developers, architects and clients.
The ability to experience a project before it is physically built is also changing how design decisions are evaluated, providing stakeholders with greater visibility over layouts, proportions and the overall user experience.
Lifesize Plans Dubai, an Australian provider of life-sized architectural projections and immersive visualisation technology, has witnessed growing demand for these solutions since establishing its UAE operations in 2023.
The company combines full-scale architectural plan projections with VR and AR experiences, allowing clients to physically walk through projects at a true 1:1 scale before construction begins.
The approach is designed to give developers, architects and homeowners greater confidence in design decisions while supporting the UAE's broader adoption of technology across the built environment.
Georges Calas, CEO of Lifesize Plans Dubai, commented: "The UAE has become one of the region's most exciting PropTech markets because it continues to embrace technologies that improve how real estate is designed, developed and experienced. We are seeing growing demand for immersive visualization tools that help developers, architects and homeowners identify opportunities before construction starts, ultimately saving both time and cost. As the market continues to evolve, innovative technologies such as VR and AR will play an increasingly important role in delivering smarter, more efficient developments across the country."
The expansion of PropTech is increasingly extending across the full property lifecycle, from initial design and development through to sales and asset management.
For developers, digital tools offer opportunities to improve project planning and collaboration. For buyers, immersive technologies can provide a clearer understanding of properties before completion, particularly within the off-plan market.
Continued government support for digital transformation, alongside investment in major real estate developments, is expected to support further growth in the UAE's PropTech sector.
As VR and AR technologies become more deeply integrated into the property development process, immersive visualisation is expected to play a growing role in how projects are designed, evaluated and ultimately delivered across the UAE.
