The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) hosted its 13th Annual Ceremony at Al-Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, honoring strategic partners, collaborators, and distinguished employees who have contributed to the emirate's thriving property sector. Sharjah 24
Held under the theme “Excellence… Rising Among the Stars,” the event was attended by His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director General of SRERD, along with former directors, government and private sector officials, and media professionals.
In his opening remarks, Al-Shamsi emphasized that excellence results from dedicated work and a clear vision for a prosperous future. He highlighted 2024 as an exceptional year marked by increased transaction volumes, a broader investor base, and diverse real estate projects. This growth is attributed to direct government support, a stable economic environment, and policies encouraging property ownership for non-citizens and Gulf nationals.
The ceremony featured a panel discussion titled “The Story of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department Through the Eyes of Its Makers,” moderated by media professional Jamal Al-Mulla. The session included insights from Al-Shamsi and former directors Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Hamed Salem Al-Abdouli, and Hamad Salem Al-Mazrou, focusing on the department's history, achievements, and future prospects.
The event also recognized 24 institutions with the “Real Estate Excellence Award,” first introduced in 2019 to motivate and celebrate entities operating in Sharjah's real estate sector. Winners included Al-Thuriah Real Estate and Asas Real Estate in the development category, and several real estate offices, administrative supervision companies, and owners' associations. Additionally, the department honored recipients of the "Distinguished Leader Award" and the "Distinguished Employee Award" for 2024.
The annual ceremony underscores SRERD's commitment to fostering sustainable partnerships and promoting excellence within Sharjah's real estate industry.
