Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai Land Department (DLD). The agreement marks a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing connectivity between the emirate’s smart mobility systems and real estate sector, while also supporting logistics services through unified digital solutions.
The MoU was signed at RTA’s headquarters by Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of the Licensing Agency at RTA, and Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Registration and Real Estate Services Sector at DLD.
The partnership is designed to enable secure and efficient data exchange between both entities, laying the groundwork for co-developing user-friendly digital services that align with Dubai’s vision for customer-centric government experiences. The initiative is part of broader efforts to improve the quality of life across the emirate by integrating smart, sustainable solutions in line with local, regional, and global best practices.
The MoU supports Dubai’s 360 Services initiative, which aims to reimagine government service delivery as seamless, proactive, and unified. It complements ongoing developments on platforms such as Dubai Now, helping deliver more cohesive and personalised digital experiences to residents and investors alike.
Commenting on the agreement, Ahmed Mahboob emphasized RTA’s commitment to world-class digital transformation and integrated public services.
“RTA is focused on advancing and optimising smart systems and networks by delivering advanced services, streamlining procedures, and driving operational efficiency and sustainability in service delivery..”
He added:
“The signing of this MoU with the Dubai Land Department reinforces strategic partnerships among government entities and accelerates the emirate’s digital transformation drive. It also supports the reengineering of customer services by leveraging advanced technologies and enabling seamless data integration with both local and federal authorities.”
“This partnership represents a key milestone in our journey to build fully integrated digital ecosystems. By connecting real estate transactions with mobility services, we are enabling seamless, data-driven experiences that support Dubai’s vision of enhancing quality of life across the emirate.”
Majid Saqr Al Marri reaffirmed the DLD’s dedication to delivering tech-forward services through meaningful public sector collaboration.
“The Dubai Land Department remains committed to supporting smart city initiatives through effective corporate collaboration. This MoU reaffirms our dedication to delivering unified, proactive services that meet the expectations of our customers and partners.”
He further noted the strategic importance of the partnership in strengthening Dubai’s positioning as a global smart city:
“The agreement also contributes to improving the quality, sustainability, and efficiency of service delivery through the integration of artificial intelligence technologies.”
With this partnership, the RTA and DLD are laying the foundation for deeper inter-agency collaboration, resource optimisation, and forward-thinking service models. The agreement also opens avenues for the emirate to explore new, integrated initiatives that position Dubai at the forefront of smart infrastructure innovation, while aligning with environmental, economic, and technological goals.
The combined efforts of both organisations aim to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for logistics, real estate, and digital excellence, bringing the city one step closer to realising its vision as the world’s smartest and most liveable metropolis.
