DOHA, QATAR: Qatar’s real estate market recorded more than $97 million (QR353 million) in transactions between 2 and 6 August, with activity spanning land, commercial and residential property segments.

According to data from Qatar’s Ministry of Justice (MOJ), the market maintained steady transaction activity during the five-day period, with Doha accounting for the largest number of deals among the country’s municipalities.

Residential unit transactions contributed approximately $6.3 million (QR23 million) to the weekly total, reflecting continued activity across Qatar’s residential market.

Doha Leads Municipal Activity

Doha Municipality emerged as the country’s most active real estate market during the period, recording 42 transactions.

The capital’s transaction volume placed it well ahead of other municipalities, highlighting the continued concentration of property activity across established urban, commercial and residential areas.

At the opposite end of the market, Al Shamal Municipality recorded the lowest level of activity, with just one transaction completed during the same period.

The difference in transaction volumes illustrates the concentration of real estate trading within Qatar’s principal urban centres, where established infrastructure and residential and commercial districts continue to support market activity.

Lusail 69 Leads Residential Transactions

Within the residential unit segment, Lusail 69 recorded the highest number and value of transactions during the week.

The district registered 10 residential deals with a combined value of approximately $2.75 million (QR10 million).

Other residential areas saw more limited transaction activity. Legtaifiya and Al Kharayej each recorded just one deal during the period.

Legtaifiya also registered the lowest overall residential transaction value for the week at approximately $275,000 (QR1 million).

The differences between individual locations reflect variations in transaction timing, available inventory and property values across Qatar’s residential communities.

Overall, the early August figures show continued activity across Qatar’s real estate sector, led by Doha at the municipal level and Lusail 69 within the residential unit segment.
