(Image: NHC)Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: The National Housing Company (NHC) has signed a major sub-development agreement with Türkiye’s Emlak Konut to advance new residential communities within the Makkah Gate Destination in Makkah. The deal, signed under the patronage of Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail, represents a significant step in Saudi Arabia’s expanding real estate partnerships with international developers.
The investment value of the project exceeds USD 266 million (SAR 1 billion), reflecting growing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s large-scale urban development initiatives. The agreement was formalised during NHC’s participation as a founding partner at Cityscape Global 2025, one of the region’s most prominent real estate exhibitions.
The signing ceremony brought together NHC Chief Executive Mohammed Albuty and Emlak Konut General Manager Yasir Yilmaz, marking a new chapter of collaboration between the two organisations.
Under the agreement, Emlak Konut will develop approximately 255,000 square meters of allocated land within the Makkah Gate Destination. The masterplan includes the construction of more than 1,000 residential villas, designed in line with modern urban standards and high-quality architectural guidelines.
The development aims to offer diverse housing options that meet global benchmarks, aligning with NHC’s broader mission to provide high-quality, sustainable communities for residents across the Kingdom.

NHC noted that the collaboration is expected to enhance the exchange of expertise, accelerate the delivery of quality residential projects, and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s efforts to elevate overall quality of life.
