Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi–based Modon Holding P.S.C has announced a strategic investment in Wellington Lifestyle Partners (WLP), joining a consortium of existing investors to advance one of the United States’ most prominent equestrian-led lifestyle developments.

Modon’s investment will support the long-term development of the Wellington International equestrian showgrounds and deliver an ultra-luxury real estate destination in Wellington, Palm Beach County, Florida. The project features high-end residences, a boutique hotel, a commercial marketplace and a championship golf course. The investment represents approximately USD 408.4 million (AED 1.5 billion) and marks Modon’s first direct investment in an equestrian-led project in the United States.

This step reinforces Modon’s wider strategy to expand its international footprint by partnering with leading global organisations across lifestyle, hospitality and large-scale mixed-use developments.

Expanding a Global Lifestyle Portfolio

Through this investment, Modon joins WLP’s existing group of investors and operators to support a multi-asset portfolio of world-class lifestyle and sports destinations. These include:

  • Wellington International, the globally recognised home of elite equestrian sport
  • The Wanderers Club, a private family-oriented country club featuring golf, tennis, swimming and dining
  • The Wellington, a new private residential club community with 253 residences, opening in 2028, anchored by a championship golf course designed by David McLay Kidd

A planned lifestyle Marketplace that will introduce a luxury boutique hotel, residences, retail, offices and restaurants

Together, these assets form a long-term masterplan to elevate Wellington as the global capital of equestrian luxury living.

Strengthened Global Presence and New Licensing Rights

The investment also includes a strategic licence agreement enabling Modon to use the Wellington International brand and IP across several key markets, supporting the development of future lifestyle and community destinations.

As part of the agreement, Modon will become a premier sponsor of the Winter Equestrian Festival and the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) — the world’s largest annual hunter/jumper and dressage events, attracting more than 250,000 spectators and exhibitors each year.
